Maryborough

The Victorian Government is investing $115 million to redevelop and expand Maryborough and District Hospital.

The redevelopment includes a mix of new building and refurbishment works, including the construction of a new purpose-built facility to the south of the existing hospital.

After many years of planning, early works are underway and the hospital redevelopment is complete.

• A new urgent care centre

• 32-bed inpatient unit

• New maternity unit and birthing suites

• Two operating theatres and recovery spaces

• Day medical centre with clinical imaging, pharmacy and pathology services

• Consultant suites

• Reception area, and

• More car parking

When complete, staff at Maryborough and District Hospital will have bigger and better facilities to enable staff to treat an additional 4,000 patients every year.
